Oh boy

First question to make sure i aint the only one that did this, I was recently in a race with a Stock '05 2500 Chevy Duramax and i was drivin a Stock '06 Dodge 2500, both were 4 door, 4x4, and autos, i won the race, driver mistake or is it truly possible??
 
I would say it was about a truck length or so. The race was about 3 blocks long..
