Be careful what you wish for.
I thought I was going to stop at 500HP with Casper, but once you get going it's hard to stop.
PPE or EFILive are the way to go with Dmax performance, and it's where 90% of the racers end up in the long run. That is not a coincidence. I'd say 1/2 of them have BOTH.
So far the durability of the Dmax at 500HP is better than should be expected when doubling the OEM engine output. Our Blue truck (2004.5 LLY 3500SRW) has ~70k miles of abuse at high power levels and still runs great. And most folk report the same.
Rods become an issue at ~1300ftlb of torque, so tuning only trucks tend to be safe.
