I won't recommend drilling them, but I can get you .093 connector tubes for a lot cheaper.

I know people HAVE drilled them out successfully though.

agreed ^^^^ I tried drilling some old tubes I had and it's not easy. The edge filter will hang the drill bit up and cause a mess LOL I believe it takes a drill press to do it right. I think the edge filter helps protect the injectors from the full force of psi going into them though so, it very well could be a good thing its there

ii does not rec running their hrvp w/o topening up the tubes..one way or another. ny consequences of oversized tubes..idle quality or stalling or any of that crap. filters gotta come out..

are there diff sizes for these tubes??

I don't have a VP but, can tell you I saw not a bit of difference in running drilled tubes or stock tubes. I've yet to run out of fuel because of them.

well my truk runs outta smoke instantly after the turbo spools. there sposed to be 130 hp inj from bd...so it should have plenty of fuel if its makin i there.
truk made 275 /650 on a dyno. no top end power..outta fuel somewhere

I have drilled out several sets.

I take a 5/32 bit and drill the edge filter out first, the use a 6" long #42(.0935"), #44(.086"), or #31(.120") to drill the rest of the tube. I usually spray it with wd-40 and then drill about a 1/2", pull it out, and spray it again and keep doing that until its done.

Like Triton said, the first set I just drilled from the tapered end and when it got to the edge filter it seized up.

LP pressure ok?

What boost are you seeing?

Any hot start issues or other signs of a dying VP?

I agree, sumtin' ain't right, but I would look elsewhere for your issue than drilled connector tubes.

Not to salt your wounds, but what really tells me somethin is wonky: My bro bettered that with stock sticks/turbo on his 02.

yeah bro..im wit ya.

loose conv is maybe the only other thing i can think of. i just need the tubes for the hrvp im gettin

i been chasin this for awhile. no boost leaks. plenty of fuel press. i have got bd and ind inj helping me along and both of em are at a loss

Sorry but I had to! :poke: Despite what you think you might be surprised what $500 does for your truck!

when is someone gonna show me a dyno sheet where the truk makes more power with either setup over a stk or a regular pump w/o the air seperation and all the filter stuff. like a holley black or a raptor or any other pump that just goes into the system w/o all the other mods and a 500$ bill.

You do not need oversized tubes for 130 horse injectors. Your fueling issue is somewhere else.

i know. but i was told yesterday if i put an ii hrvp on i will need filterless conn tubes. so thats what im doin. im gonna get the pump here shortly and i hope to god it fixes the problem or i may just set it on ...never mind..ill pray

you stalking me man..explain. im open to suggestions. i still want proof that an airdog makes more power..nobody can prove it back to back. and git offa my thread hijacker!

i have a ii hrvp and my tubes still have the filters you dont need to remove the filter until you get a 7x10 injectors then take them out and leave them stock size

Tubes are a waste and II is just trying to make more money off of you. The only time you might need bigger tubes is when running 200+hp injectors and even then anything bigger than .078 is a waste. Stick with the stock tubes. It'll drive better and make just as much power. And $240 is a rip off.

And there's 2 reasons why you are clearing your smoke. First reason is that your turbo can handle a much larger injector than what you have and still clean them up just fine. So it's time to step up injectors. Second is that your injection pump is dead. 276hp with your combo is about 200hp lower than what it should be.

I'm with Tyler on this one.

Even he could dyno more than 276 with your setup.

Why a HR pump instead of a SO?

I'd get a SO, and put the cost diference to a set of injectors. Once you sold your sticks I bet it'd be not much more than the HRVP would cost, and drive better.

He has a super b, not the special. Super b wont handle much more than what he already has as far as injector size goes. I agree with you on the tubes though, i had stock tubes, 200hp+ injectors and still had plenty of fuel that a 64 wouldnt clean it up all the way.

Id stick with a new SO vp and stock tubes for now man, you should notice a huge gain in power with the new pump if that was your problem.
