I see a lot of posts where guys have a p-pumped 24v and still have chips stacked on there trucks. How is this possible and what does it do.? I might be looking at it wrong but I thought once you converted to the P pump you threw away all the chips and boxes?

that would be an absolute waste of money and serve no purpose. The ECM has no control over the p pump. It is 100% mechanical

lol

You can 'chip it' all you want, but your not going to do anything...

I guess it would make for a good conversation piece though...

Ask Roachie how his Banks six gun/ hypertech stack is working.

LOL:hehe:LOL

Duh!! It electronically controls the AFC and RPM limiter, 8k being the max of course, it's pretty much one of the best secrets that's been kept.

You might of heard or read about people keeping the electronics as in the ECM for the tach operation and it keeping the alternator charging.

I know the pump dose not use electronics at all But on people's signature I see 24v P-pump swap and it also lists electronics. Didn't know if they were useing them for something else or not? Just making sure I wasn't missing anything.

:hehe:I think I lost brain cells just reading the opening post:hehe::hehe:

Ever think they may be joking?

Or maybe they are the only ones that have figured out how to load the Smarty programs onto a P7100...

Which one seems more likely?

i have the first 12v with a vp44 swap on it and let me tell you its lopes like an sob! oh and when i did my swap i added a monster pump to it as well.

I swear to christ one of my friends in PA has a co-worker with a ppumped 99(?) that has a Juice......for power.

John told him it wouldnt work like that, guy said:
da ppump adds 180hp and the juice adds another 180
. John says the conversion looks like a 5yo done it, complete mess.

Yall dont wanna know how many have asked me about my banks stack on Cummins Forum. :bang:
