P7100 operation video, need help

did you check side to side movement also when you was messing with the afc? i wonder if that rod is more for adjusting it from side to side to keep it over far enough for the gov arm to hit it?

Here's the latest. I can't think of any other way to do it. I don't have any problem doing it though so no big deal, I want it to be as accurate as possible. I did notice theres a screw on the back of the pump which is just some sorta plug in front of the governor fulcrum thinger which I could measure off of to a point but I don't think it would be as accurate and I think its way too low, as in oil will just pour out.

The video should be done within 10 mins of me posting this, I'm not gonna wait for it to get done before posting this. http://youtu.be/TUS4NZl9ENc

Oh and I'll check that right now Chevycummins.

Vid should be done now ^^^

Alright here we go chevycummins. I'm showing that with the few degrees of rotation that that bolt allows me in that slot, the shaft on the eccentric part only moves vertically 0.029". Just looking at it you can see it probably doesn't move horizontally (side to side) hardly at all. You also have to remember that the other side of the shaft is not eccentric, lessening the horizontal effect even more. It's worthless from how I see it, but it worked for Tate so maybe sometimes that's all thats needed.

thats possible i just never messed with moving that. when i removed it to grind on the barrel i placed it back where i got it from and never had an issue. also i noticed in your vid that you was gonna drill and tap a plug in there. be careful when you do that and try to keep as much as you can out of the pump.

I have to drill it to get an accurate measurement. I can't think of any other way. It's not really a big deal I'm pretty sure I can get enough stuff in there to keep the chips out of it. I might just take the pump off and drill it upside down.
