Did you build it yourself? What did you find that caused this? injectors?

What were your EGTs on that Run to 130 that caused this? Any ideas? I know on the last run i did to 130 i hit 1729 Degrees. Thats the reason i ask. Thanks.

Internally, no i didnt. Friend that works at Innovation Marine did all the machining and rebuilding the inside. I'm sure the 2.4.ct tune and my foot not letting up for a LONG time was probably the cause. The egt guage was buried for a while so im sure that didnt help the cause.

What all did ya do to it while it was out????

Going back with the 66 or what???
 
Just so you know, Solo's speedometer is waayy off.. We were on our way to Alabama to a race a while back.. I was pulling a trailer with two trucks on it. He called me and asked if we could speed up and quit going so slow.. I was running 85 with my foot to the floor.. haha.. He hasn't corrected his speedometer for the larger tires yet..

Those old pistons could make for a nice uh..mantle piece or paper wait..:hehe:
 
soon....very soon. it isnt that extreme of a rebuild, just a little faster than before :)
 
faster is always better. Who u go threw gettin the new "HEMI". I see the ford boys cant even keep a dodge outa their avatar:lolly:

Did you go oversize on all cylinders, or sleeves or something?

I have been posting about the 06 that has melted pistons 3 times now in about 1 year! always #6!
I was blaming the rattle/knock that we cant find yet. EGTS dont get that hot, and it only raced 1/8 mile when it happened the last time

thats what a gasser looks like squeezin when someone wants to be 'safe' and set it up fat 10:1 or so

the oxide gets up under the ring, in the land, with all the extra fuel and it causes detonation behind the ring

kinda eats itself from the inside out

dont have a clue what makes it happen in a diesel

esp one that doesnt have a unit on it

no nitrous, right???

I cant help some tard cant focus! Doesnt bother me anyhow. That was a truck you would deff. want in your picture anyhow.

i went .020 and had to sleeve cylinder 5. What tuner r u running on the 06?
