Nice! Hey you think the truck will be done for the pulls over labor day weekend in Blarsville,pa?

I hate to interrupt turbo talk (sorry), but did you figure out why you had to tap the throttle to get it to start? My buddies truck does that and we're not sure why...

Awesome build BTW! That 12v looks like it was made for your engine bay. Very nice.

I never messed with it. Didn't want to sacrifice rpm's while we were still pulling. I'm sure if I'd back the gov springs off a click or two it would be fine. Goes along with the touchy throttle. I may have to pull the head and replace the gasket due to a coolant leak from not having a bypass on it.

This build has gotten a little carried away from the intended daily driver weekend puller. I'm looking at options to putting an 80 under the rear and either back halving the rear to make it a long bed or changing the complete frame. Hard to say what will happen this winter.

Looks nice.. I'd love to see some Video of it pulling

Thanks to Charlie and Matt for the videos.

Finally made the switch, gotta like the straight 6 power. How are the o-rings holding up? Whos motor mounts did you use?

O-rings are holding. It's pushing coolant from the gasket because of no bypass. The adapter plate covers half the freeze plug in the rear. I got the mounts and adapter from Carson Stauffer Diesel Service.

Very nice Conversion, Shop and Toolbox! :Cheer:

Thanks, we try to keep the shop clean and I'm out of room in that tool box. The truck is getting all the spare money so a new one is out for now.
