I live about three miles east of Big Daddy Don Garlit's Drag racing museum. there is a bout ten acres south of him, the thing is, it runs almost a half mile, right next to the interstate. Everytime I drive by, I wish he could buy all that and open up a track. I know it would get used, if only it was an eighth mile track. The closest track is over an hour and a half away. For kids like me, that's a long drive to go slow. But if there was a closer track, we could pack it Friday and Saturday night.

Signed it. Rumor has it that they just reopened a track up down south of town. That'd be great news cause the closest track to me is an hour and a half away and there's tons of people here who are dying to race.
 
Another track up here- in Jersey, the famous Old Bridge Twsp. Race Way Park in Englishtown NJ has been fighting with the townships board for years. They are crazyily fighting to close this famous track down. I can't understand it as the revenue that R.W.P. generates is great for the surrounding towns whenever there is an event going on. It is all being driven by developers greed, and potential individual property tax revenues that would be had if this land was developed. I can't stand when they force a track to close and then cry about kids who street race. Leave the tracks alone and champion the existing ones and you would help eliminate this problem.

i live about 40 minutes from there and TRUST ME!! they won't close it down hahaha they hold lots of car shows and concerts there like the warped tour which brings in like hundreds of thousands of people for a whole week... if they closed it down the town would become a ghost town in a matter of a couple years

can't wait for it re-open in march i was told!!! :tree:

i have a friend of mine that is part Mohegan Indian and i have been to that casino.
