Plugged Cat Converter ?

Did you ever see a plug cat converter on a 12v ?

My truck is laggy on boost, like full boost (35 psi) at 2400rpm ... Always little black smoke so isn't missing fuel (AFC is correctly adjust).

Timing is at 18.5, no DV, stock 215 injectors, unpluged wastegate, 97 manual. All IC boots as been replace by PDR one.
 
For sure the cat will be remove when I will have some time to do it.

Stock DV, (no DV upgrade)
 
When you cut it off you will be suprised how much peppier it gets.
 
My new hi-flow cat (4' of 3" exaust pipe hehehe) is near the pit. I got a clutch to finish on a Inter 4700 tomorow and gonna trow the cat out of my red rig (truck).

Need to pull the fuel tank out too, fuel gage not working :(
 
Some news, the cat is empty so why using a muffler hehehe. I did a straight pipe and it's sound really nice :)

So the question is did you heard something about a semi-open waste gate on HX35 ?
