There has been a tremendous of discussion and R&D done with the pistons on the Dmax with different applications. Depending on your setup will determine what is best for you. In regards to anodizing I don't think that is your best option, ceramic coating IMO is the way to go. Talk to Guy Trip (SoCal Diesel) in regards to options. Hope that helps! My $.02
