Power steering reservoir O-ring

Went to change out the little o-ring between the power steering reservoir and pump. Drained the reservoir, removed top screw holding reservoir to pump, backed out bottom mounting screw..... until it contacted the power steering pump pulley and would not come all the way out. Am I overlooking something here? I was under the impression the reservoir could be removed from the pump in frame.

I've taken mine out in frame for the same reason. it's been a while but I think the two bolts is all that held it.
