finally!!!!
i got the cable routed to my pre boost screw, i must say it worked out perfect! put a hole about an inch to the right of the pedal bracket on the firewall, on the right side of the gas pedal. the long (36") flexible (McMaster-carr) cable is too long to mount in the dash, so it works out perfect to mount right along side the 4 wheel drive lever. im mounting mine to the plastic console of my 5 speed shifter with an L shaped bracket rivited to the plastic, auto guys can use the plastic cover of the 4 wheel drive lever
roughly 1/2" hole in firewall, i will be filling this with a rubber grommet to seal it
attatched to preboost screw with set screw
this is where the cable ends, im making an L bracket to rivet to the console, then mount the cable into with the locking nuts behind the knob. then i will make something to keep the knob locked so it oesnt vibrate loose
the straighter you make the cable the easier it turns the screw, how mine is set up is as close to a straight shot as possible and it has very little resistance.
for you guys who want to try this i say go for it!!! just drill the 1/2 hole and bingo instant adjustment! you can tune and re tune in the same stretch of highway!!!
