Hi all
I bought a Pro52 Holset turbo and now cant seem to find an exhaust stub and clamp that will fit the thing

None of the local suppliers for big trux or parts have anything in thier parts books that even comes close

Anyone got a part number(s) for the two pieces, or better yet - the parts they can sell me

thanx
Ken

exactly like a Holset 40 flange, only 4 9/16" outside diameter
needs the same kinda clamp and flange
flat face, shallow clamp

Take a picture with a tape measure showing a few of the dimensions.

Kind of sounds like an s400 flange. They use a 4.625 vband if I remember correctly.

4 5/8 will work u can get them at fleetpride tell them its for a HX50 there 14 $

Your in ontario right? Have you tried UAP traction? the big truck version of Napa? They should have it on the shelf.

mm here in small town Ontario there is neither of those two places - Napa or Fleetpride
We have an International dealer, and they couldnt find a listing in any book for any engine turbo combination to help

Shoulda bought the Pro52 I was trying to sell you. It had everything you needed:bang. It's all gone now though. I found the clamp and flange in the junkyard off an M11 or the like with a hx50 or hx55, can't remember.

I had already bought mine for $600 when i learned about yours Bill - sorry - or I woulda bought it

I had M11 pieces in my hand yesterday and they wouldnt fit - right diameter, wrong flange depths

If you have a machine shop close by you could have them turn the outlet down to the HX40 size...it's all I ever do!

I just took my to a buddy and he turned it down on a lathe, I made it fit a standard machined flange for 4" exhaust.

thats interesting because my HX40 flange is only 3.5" id
I will measure the od tonite and see if that is possible on this turbo
I think the issue here is that this isnt a HX52 but a much different PRO52

Does the pro have a 16 cm exhaust housing?

I dont know what it has - the pro 52 is a specially concocted turbo usin some hx55 parts i am told 71mm inducer 90 sumthin exducer

the flange looks exactly like the HX40 only larger - flat face, approx 20 degree bevel on the back side 3 7/8" id - 4 9/16" od

Mine were all 3.5" id. X 4.75" od. so turning them down to 4" od. was no problem. I even turned my S400 Borg housings down to 4" od. I just like the ease of turbo swapping when you don't have to change the down pipe. $.02

how much of a lip is left turning it down to 4' I was going to do that but machne shop said that the clamp may not fit ? Seeker one thing that did happen to me once that the flanges fit but the vband clamp was really wide and would not smash them togeter

that is the problem with the clamps available too wide and wont clamp - too deep and hit the housing before they will clamp

there is not enough material to turn down to 4" hx40 on my turbo - you would be into the housing and my id is 3 7/8" give or take so machining would leave a housing thickness of 1/16"

To my knowledge the pro 52 and hx52 share the same exhaust housing. my hx52 has a 3.5 ID exhaust housing outlet as well, I just used a flange with a 4" ID so I could run 4" downpipe it has an OD of 4.56", this is a standard cnc cut steel V-band flange available at the local race shop.

Sorry for saying 4" I may have confused some people.

The flange I have is 4" ID and 4.56" OD, the stainless V band it comes with fits perfect with the thickness of the hx52 turbine housing and cnc cut flange, I bought them from a local shop called Fast Turbo here in north Texas, I would give them a call.
