Pro52 turbos issues???

Those of ya machining your hx52's down to a hx40 exhaust flange must not have the 'Pro52' 16cm housing. It's 4"ID. The run of the mill 'machined' hx40 flange is 4"OD. Kinda hard to do that when the Pro52 will just about swallow the hx40 flange.

You might try to find a 'good' machine shop. See if it's possible to mill the Pro52 exhaust flange off, then press a hx40 steel sleeve into the housing. If no good machine shops available, send it to Scheid Diesel, they've been the same thing for years. Or call Scheid and see if they can help you on the flange and clamp;).

No good machine shops around and sinkin several hundred into havin a flange made be crazy.

mm, me be thinkin it would be easier to fab my own exhaust flange out of 1/4" plate steel and 4" pipe - that way the M11 clamp will work

cant beleive it is so hard to find a vbnad flange for what is supposed to be a factory made turbo

on my 95' 12 valve. im the one that bought bill gilberts pro 52. i just put it on and it matched right up even used the same clamp that came off of my other turbo

mm here in small town Ontario there is neither of those two places - Napa or Fleetpride
We have an International dealer, and they couldnt find a listing in any book for any engine turbo combination to help
