problems downloading files

I had to have some work done to my windows 7 pro & lost my smarty files.
When I down load them, they come up as (not a valid win32 app)
This for my s03, my computer builder says the file could be corrupt.
All help is appreciated.

Did you use 7Zip to unzip them
 
Yes I did.
I have the USB EXE, USB Driver & the7 zip,
I download the software, save it to the Smarty file & when I go to open it....not a valid win 32 app.
Wished I still had my XP, No problem when I used it to get the software.

Ok,
I guess I have other problems,
I downloaded 2 other non smarty programs & when the icons come up, 1 is a blank white page & the other is in (ms dos)
Back to see the computer man.
