Pull-N-Power/NHRDA Indy Rules

Update

Update on a few things , after Pull n Power had a meeting

2 wheel drive trucks will be allowed as long as they meet all the rules for the class there signing up to pull in and will run a 26 inch hitch also

Trans Blankets. It has came to our attention that full block to tail blankets are not made for a few models of transmissions right now, In that case a Bell housing blanket will be acceptable, but expect in 2011 the full trans blanket in most of the classes regardless of RPM

This one mainly applies to work stock and 2.6. Hitches. Pull N Power does not want to see broken hitches make sure you have a good quality hitch with the correct opening for the sled hook. If using a drop receiver and clevis any drop over 2 inch is unacceptable. If they clevis looks like a poor quality it will be unacceptable. The final decision resides in Pull n Power tech officials. Pull n power will have loaner hitches at events to assure safety.

Thanks
Joe

Dodge and Ford Transmission blankets

All,

I have talked with All Season Diesel Performance and Bob Stroud and both are more than willing to work with us to design and stock full length tranny blankets for the Fords and Dodges. All they need are dimensions and a picture would be helpfull. Dimensions needed are the circumfrence of the bell and the rear of the transmission and the length from the block to the rear of the transmission. If you guys want to post that here or send me a pm, I'll be glad to act as the collection point to get this going. You can also email me at alanpage@indianatruckpullers.net

Thank you

Alan

Are full blankets the only option or is there a way to go say with a steel shield?
Just throwing that out there.

No for P-N-P till full blankets come more available we our accepting a bell housing blanket, this only applies if your over 4500RPM for 2010

But also we will look into shields as were contacting Diest about making blankets.

Thanks Joe. I have a bell housing blanket, If yall happen to get some rough quotes on what a full blanket would run (NV4500) Let me know.

Thanks
Lynn

Yeah while your at it possible what would roughly cost for a 47RE too. Lookin forward to the summer

Nice so we're gonna have to buy a bellhousing blanket for this year then then then turn right around and buy a full blanket for next year thats prob gonna cost more than the first one. I can fully understand the bellhousing blanket, there's a lot if mass spinning in there, but is a full blanket is really needed on a manual trans? Even the 2.8 or 3.0 class has only required a blanket or sfi can for the longest time.

You can also contact them directly with your specific application. I have also emailed Haisleys to see if they will get on board so please contact them also. Scheids is another one to call.

If your over 4500 RPM this year, Next yer will be regardless of RPM
My Nv4500 one is a full blanket
I think most Manuals is full
The Autos are lacking behind right now

Alright that makes much more sense. Didn't know that the blanket for the nv4500 covered the whole thing.
