Are full blankets the only option or is there a way to go say with a steel shield?
Just throwing that out there.
Lynn
No for P-N-P till full blankets come more available we our accepting a bell housing blanket, this only applies if your over 4500RPM for 2010
But also we will look into shields as were contacting Diest about making blankets.
All,
I have talked with All Season Diesel Performance and Bob Stroud and both are more than willing to work with us to design and stock full length tranny blankets for the Fords and Dodges. All they need are dimensions and a picture would be helpfull. Dimensions needed are the circumfrence of the bell and the rear of the transmission and the length from the block to the rear of the transmission. If you guys want to post that here or send me a pm, I'll be glad to act as the collection point to get this going. You can also email me at alanpage@indianatruckpullers.net
Thank you
Alan
Nice so we're gonna have to buy a bellhousing blanket for this year then then then turn right around and buy a full blanket for next year thats prob gonna cost more than the first one. I can fully understand the bellhousing blanket, there's a lot if mass spinning in there, but is a full blanket is really needed on a manual trans? Even the 2.8 or 3.0 class has only required a blanket or sfi can for the longest time.
Alright that makes much more sense. Didn't know that the blanket for the nv4500 covered the whole thing.
