Okay a buddy of mine just bought a med duty 12v to install in his truck but we noticed that the pump has a small issue....it's CRACKED. The engine came out of a Bluebird bus & while the salvage yard was removing it they somehow cracked the back of the pump & the AFC housing. How hard would it be to swap the back half of the pump or would you really need to just get a new one?
I was also hoping that you guys might be able to tell what model (I know it's a P7100) pump is on it, the timing cover says 190hp but people have told me that it could be a 160hp pump.

Thanks guys....

you can swap the parts out (meaning it is possible), but a pump shop would be recommended (I can't see your pics from this computer so I'm not sure if it is the gov housing or the just the very back cover that is cracked in your pics) If it is just the back piece, it can be done at home. I have a few pumps I took apart and could provide you with the parts rather than you buying new ones. PM me if you are interested.

The pump is a 190hp pump. It uses the 160/175 "D-shape" cam profile and a plunger similar to the 215hp pumps with a lower and upper helix for varying timing. Not a very desirable set-up, but it should work as long as he isn't going for all out performance.

You'll need the intermediate governor housing, the rear governor housing, and the main afc housing. PM Jesse (GOT-Torque ^^^) about the parts...he should have a complete RQV governor assembly that is good, but used. Then PM me if interested about the labor and calibration that will be needed to swap the governor assembly.

Thanks for the info & the offers guys, I'll get him on here & get him in touch with you guys. CTD thanks for explaining the "190" pumps, some told me they are the same as the 180s & others said they might be a 160.

Well I guess you have to have ten posts to send a PM, so that's not an option. Don't really know why I've never signed up here before.
Anyway that's my engine and I need the back half of the pump or the governor housing, and afc housing. I'm also missing the throttle assembly (all the linkage to hook up your throttle cable) whatever you want to call it.
Could you let me know what you want for the pieces I need, so I can get ahold of YoungGun about putting it on the pump.

Thanks

Thanks
