Would this pump be a good pump to spend the money on for a sled puller? 5-600 cc capable?

What would it cost to get it there?

I just do brush pulls, I have twins, 62/475. I cant complete with a vp, most around me are 2.8 trucks (600-1000 hp)

Guess it depend on how much you have to give for the pump. figure a cam, delivery valves,4k or 5k gsk, rack plug. then labor to disassemble, reassemble, calibrate etc.

Im doing a p-pump swap, so id like to stay around the $1500 mark.

Im getting a 188/220 cam and looking to run 3500-4500 rpms

Shouldn't be a a problem at all to reach your goal. The stock pump cam is good for your requirements. 6 to 700 hp is a piece of cake.

160/175hp P7100 will come up short in RPM when compared to a 180/215hp, period.

I agree.

Flow at 2000 or 3000 rpm will be close between the 160/175 and the 180 pumps.

Flow at 4000 or 4500 rpm will be way less on the 160/175 pumps.

However, it does seem like you can "extend the legs" of a 160/175 pump and get decent flow at 4000 rpm by running extremely high (80+ psi) lift pump pressure......

My tach must have been off all the last 3 seasons. I would of swore it read and recalled 4600rpms on all the shifts. Silly me.
