Question for Cat gurus

I just thought maybe the air to air would cool better since I will be heavy hauling. Maybe I should just leave it alone. I always thought when the B went to Air to Air, they also went to the bedplate with an increase from 400hp to 425hp. If I buy this truck it will be a project, I think I can use a throttle pedal from a 379 that had a mechanical Cat so Jakes won't just work off of toggle switch. Kinda modernize that aspect of it, after I find a set of Jakes for it.

The pedal switch goes in the back of the pump so no need to change the pedal. Look for c349 Jakes, the stock 346's work about as good as holding your hand out the window.

You're right, for some reason I was thinking the pedal/linkage was different.
I found a set of 349's already and haven't even bought the truck yet!LOL
I ordered a set of hood assist cylinders already too! LOL

Air assist cylinders?

Yep, this truck is missing them but the plumbing is all still there. The guy took them off several years ago because they were leaking and misplaced them.

Where did you find those? I've bent both of mine and haven't been able to find replacements

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I've been looking for 349 jakes and haven't had much luck. What did those originally come out on?

I would think the newer the engine the better the chance of it having the 349 jake, I myself have never come across one.

Everyone knows the easiest way to double the jake power on a B is to hold your hat out the window!

If your looking for a set of jakes for a B I maybe able to get you a set.
