I have the truck in my signature. I have a 66\71\12 borg warner turbo. I pulled it from a mack 350hp aset ai. I bought the 12cm turbine housing from bullseye turbo and the wastegate actuator from ed. I want more air and don't know if going to a larger turbine would help. It spools pretty well at 1600 rpm or so. Would buying a silver bullet be the thing to do? I have pressured up the intake for leaks and found none. I see 47psi with this setup. Thanks

why do you think you need/want more air? what injectors?

I would have done a 14cm housing instead of the 12, and some 7x12s instead of your 370s

I agree, that 12cm housing prob has ur drive pressure pretty high. I'm just not sure if the 14cm housing will solve the "more air" issue. If you get the bigger housing, then you can get a drive pressure gauge and start playing with your wategate.

I do have 370s at the time 2 years ago I had to wait to get a 14cm housing. I have pulled the pyro and ran a drive pressure guage for about a month. I was seeing 45 to 60 drive at wot. I have played with the gate and found no change. I can smoke traffic out very badly at wot it pulls hard to 3500 or so. I did put first gen pistons with the larger bowls in it. Would it be worth a try of different injectors? Thanks guys

it seems like something else is not right.. with those dv's and injectors and timing with a 180 pump and a 64/71/12 made over 55 psi if i wanted but always kept it down to 50..

What could be the problem? The head was o ringed and ported by hamilton cams. I have studs in it but I don't know if I play with the timing if it would change In the right direction. Thanks

for some reason i think maybe your boost is low.. your sure about your timing?

I'm not 1000% sure on the timing I need to check it and make exactly sure what it is set at.

another thing because i honestly have no idea why but how much fuel pressure you running to the pump? its still the 175 pump right?

Yes it is still the 175 pump I didn't have it benched or anything. I did install a new lift pump when I built the engine. I haven't checked fuel pressure.

this could be part of you trouble.. those pumps like higher fuel pressures.. 40 plus is what most people around here recomend.
