question on traction bars

just measure from the axle to just behind the front doors thats how i am doing mine and how i see most do

yeah, the longer the better. Best thing to do is follow the frame rails up towards the front of the truck untill you find a nice clean spot with holes drilled already. Even if you find just one hole that is matching on the other rail...saves a bit of work. Just watch out for fuel lines or electrical when drilling...that would suck!

another question is does anyone put like a slug in the pipe were you weld the top links in?

I have a buddy that makes the whole kit. I was going to make my own but dont have the time. His are completly bolt-on and they adjust. He is a vendor for EEP.

did the same thing with the 3 pt hitch arms and made 3 1/2 feet long and used them just make sure when you put them on for pulling that you have the tighten the same or you will hop the hole way down the track good luck man

do any of you worry about things binding up when u have a load in the box. i have heard of putting a shackle in the front to mount the bar to. therefore, there is no bind when the box has a load in it.
