Ok, my motor started its life as an industrial motor with remote fuel filters. I bought what I thought was a stock 12 valve dodge filter housing, and a Wix 33391 filter. That filter was supposed to be a direct replacement that eliminated the water sensor.

Problem, the Wix 33391 threads were bigger than my housings. It had a Baldwin filter on there when I bought it but cant find any cross references for the part number. Did the 24 Valves use a similar setup with on with smaller threads? Just trying to figure out what dang filter I need!!

I have 2 98.5 and up filter housings for sale cheap that I also use on my 12v, it bolts right up to the intake and works awesome.

Here is a picture of example of a 97-99 filter housing and looks identical to what I got. The Wix 333391 has a thread size of 20x1.5 mm. The filter housing is smaller, not sure how much.

Does that look right to you guys who have the 97-99 trucks? And if so what filter are you guys running to eliminate the water sensor?

I run a NAPA filter that eliminates the water sensor. Ill get the number for you.

Thanks. Looks like its a 16mmx1.5 thead from what I found. The old filter was a BF1226. Found several reference filters now, but a not a napa number so that would be cool.

3395 has threads that are 20x1.5mm. The NAPA filter you want is 3472 if your housing has 16x1.5mm threads.
