I think your converter would have more tendency to slip in o/d. Your converter is not locked up when your launching your truck. Just my $.02.
2nd that, fluid coupling isn't gonna slip a tranny. I liked the way my DTT shifted, but not so much the fried converter. Im running a Goerend Triple disc now.
