Dieselwrencher, thanks.
Clarke, cool will look for the build thread when you get it going.
Bodacious, thanks, glad people like my work and what I've built.
Damn, I'm tired and don't think work should expect a whole lot out of me today. Had a blast this weekend at UCC, met some great people and the truck drew a continuous crowd all weekend.
I finished putting the truck together Weds night about 8pm and then started loading it up on the trailer and packing all the stuff we were taking with us. We got on the road around 4:30 am Thurs morning. We had my gbaby and mil with us so we made a bunch of stops for them to walk around and site see. My wife thought I was being funny when I took a picture of Coaltrain in front of the St. Louis arch. As we were driving, I told her my idea. I had printed a hard back book of all the action shots of Coaltrain last year for myself and then gave one to my parents and her mom for Xmas. My idea was to make one for my gBaby as a kind of kids book. With the title being "Turbo Tenliegh and her adventures with Coaltrain" since this was her and the trucks first trip like this around the country. So we snapped a pick of Coaltrain in front of various sites along the trip there and back. Worlds largest Rocking Chair, Worlds largest Wind Chime, Indy 500 track, Lucas Dragstrip, Churchill Downs, National Corvette Musuem and the Grand Ole Opry....
When we hit the road, was really worried how the front fenders would handle the wind of being pulled on the trailer. They held up great for the whole trip. Got the truck unloaded Thursday night and parked where the CP Booth would be and then we headed to eat Supper with the great CP people and then on to our hotel for some much needed sleep. Friday morning, we got there early to start getting the truck cleaned up from front to back and getting the road grime off of it from driving 5 hours in the pouring rain the day before. As I was cleaning the truck, some dude with some weird camera contraption came by and started asking questions about the truck and didn't realize he was part of the UCC video crew and it was going out on the live feed... Then I wondered how much of an idiot I sounded like... once I found out. Mom showed it to Dad and said I sounded like a hick... told him it took one to know one. Here's the link to the video:

Over the next three days, I stayed with the truck and talked to a lot of people, giving out this years and last years hero cards of the truck, letting little kids climb in and sit in the seat and get pictures taken and answered a 1000 questions. Met quite a few of the people here on CompD, could never tell you who as I suck with names.
Did catch up with some I've know for years in person and over the phone and actually met in person some of my other sponsors Air Dog, Muldoon's Diesel Performance, Diesel Performance Converters, Power Driven Diesel.
Bodacious came by a couple of times and even gave me a cool present that will be getting installed on the truck in the next few days after I get some pieces. Will post up about it after he sends me some more information on it. I was able to catch a few drag passes and a couple of dyno runs and most of the first round of sled pulls.
Sunday came and we loaded the truck back onto the trailer and tied it down for the long trip home. Took the family out for dinner in down town Indy and a carriage ride around the center of the city and then called it a night. Headed out from the hotel around 7:30 and headed back out to the truck, hooked it up and arranged all the crap around in the cab of coaltrain and the bed of my dually and swung by the PDD guys to chat a few minutes and they loaded the bed of my truck up with more of their ATF and Oil for Coaltrain to abuse this season.
I have to say, the CP Carrillo crew really were outstanding people, had never met them before just emails exchanged and the occasional phone conversation over the last year and a half. Was great putting faces to names and they really treated me and my family great. I'm looking forward to moving forward with them and will hopefully be building a new engine next year with their new pistons and rods. I need to start planning the engine build out, goals and components to use.
I took the really long road home but we had a great time until the middle of the night portion came into plan and then it was just carve up the miles and get home. Finally arrived home at just before 6am, handed the gbaby and mil off to my daughter and our psil to take her home on their way to work and school. I crashed for about 2 hours and now working from home for the day. Not moving very fast but still getting some stuff done. Need to get the truck unloaded and all the stuff in the dually unloaded as well. The front of coaltrain looks like it went on a bug mass murder spree across Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma.
I lost track of the number of thumbs up and huge smiles we got driving down the highway to and from Indy. There were quite a few cars driving alongside the truck and taking pictures as we rolled down the highway.
Loaded up Weds night after getting sticker on the front grill cover and other little things finished up.

Turbo ready to drive the Corvette at the Musuem they had on display to sit in. I missed the shot when she had one hand on the wheel and the other on the shifter, but she definately knows what a steering wheel is for.
