Rebuild or Used engine?

Got an 05 that has a lot of blow by, trying to weigh my options should i rebuild this engine or try to find a salvage yard engine that I dont know for sure what exactly its life has been? Salvage yards are asking around $6000 for used, or should i just go with a reman long block? Thanks

I rebuilt my 07, and put a junkyard 6.7 in my 03. No problems either way here. I was concerned with the 6.7, but it runs great

2000.00. I assumed his engine was good for a core being that it's running.
