rebuilt trans w warranty

I'm sure that someone needs a built tranny for towing, that's available at a great price
 
You wouldn't happen to know what the differnce in 47re and 48re do u? Or what it would take to install in place of a 48re?
 
I think I read that they are interchangeable over on DTR. I will ask the builder tomorrow morning
 
The early 48 re is interchangeable with a 47. It must have the manual throttle cable on the side, the later ones have an electronic.

The parts are interchangeable as they use the same case. The rear drum and planets are stronger on the the 48 as they beefed them up.

What year is your truck?
 
if i used an auto tranny like this in an older swap with a 12 valve what would i have to do to make the tranny work would i have to have a controller? you can pm me
 
I cant believe that no one needs a built transmission with warranty for over a thousand off what it would normally cost?
