Recall Tach for Pulling

I bought the 6806 and still trying to get it to work. Just afraid to screw up a $500 damper

BDP do you have a pic of the fluidampr you did

My 6806 is reading off of the dampner bolts.

I should say "will be" since the engine is out at the moment.

I dont have any pics. Just took somthing that was about 1/8" thick, cut it in about 3/4 wide strip and tacked it to the Fluidampr, it was accually a 6.7 dampner but they look just like a fluidampr. Just make sure all of the strips have the same run out causethe pickup is very finicky about how close and far away the pickups are.

I hear there are some good stuff coming down the pipe from Isspro, I was going to go ahead with a AM 6806, but I'll hold out for the better product.

Ryan,
I got my AM ProComp Tach to work.. but I was using a different pickup.. I have not gotten it to work with the stock pickup.. (I only had a few mins to try it with the stock sensor.) It worked on 5 or 12V, but I had to change resistors, when changing voltages. (It was a 3 wire pickup.)

If someone can tell me which wires are what on the stock pickup, it will save some time.. (I don't have a truck to measure the voltages, I'm just running it on the bench for now.) I think they were
black with Blue stripe
gray
Purple with ??? strip

I thought it was
Ground
signal
Power

but didn't have any luck.. but I didn't have time to try different resistors..

Very cool keep us up on what you find. I never got more than a bounce here and there from the stock pick up and PC 5" tach, im going to hold out for Isspro's new tach it will be a nice piece for sure.
