Test drive recap:
The good-
No major issues to speak of. The truck drives surprisingly well, to still be on a completely stock fuel system, as well as stock tuning, but running a 72/87. To be honest, the lag was barely noticeable during normal acceleration. No leaks, trans shifts great, overall a successful test drive
The bad-
We are hitting the front bump stops, so time to delete that. Also, the caltracs are going to have to be shortened. With them “loosened” all the way up, it’s still putting about a full turn of preload on the spring. So Between the two of those, ride quality was kinda trash. Also, where we had run the truck without coolant in the system, we had to fight overheating for a few minutes until we got all of that out, but that’s good to go now. Also the ac needs to be charged, but it works while driving. So that’s cool.
We were very happy with how that went. We are hoping to button up this “phase” of it tomorrow so it can start driving on the streets more and hitting the track.
