I have a 01 cummins auto. I have the fms now and was just wondering which fuels harder and would be better for an auto? I dd and going to start to pull on the weekends.

Thanks

The redline is for the revs.. I wouldn't say it fuels a lot harder than the FMS.

For example, the TST Comp fuels harder than the FMS in my opinion.

You may look into the new Adrenaline threads that are happening in the dodge section. I don't have much experience with the quad products, but several folks have said good things. With the new tunes, you can get 4k rpm.

The redline is an all or nothing fueling, where the fms is a more progressive. We run a redline on Megans truck which is an auto, but we only turn it on for pulling. It starts to fuel at about 2000-2200 rpm. And yes you can hit 4k in an auto.

I have hit 4k before in my auto with the quad and one of the newest tunes, and my converter stall is set at 2100(if i remember correctly.)

I'm runnning a redline in my auto and using a Edge EZ for timing. That seems to work good. My converter also has a pretty high stall which helps.

Our stall is high because we are running 3.55 gears and we want to get the turbo to light. She is running injectors, timing box, big VP, etc.

fms is good all around use does great job the redline box is just what it is name for wot and thats its job good for pulls or drag race

My Truck Is Very Agresive Ontip In Trotle Fms At 1/4 Throtle Reads 63% Then Turbo Lite And Tire Spin On Dual Rear Wheel Truck Exd Cab

The fms defuels as the truck would stock. Thats the whole reason for the redline, that and the rpms. The redline will fuel the whole time after it starts.

Ya i was wanting one but the stacks i have are getting old. I dont no if i want to take them off or sell my fms and buy a redline.

If you decide to go with a Redline, call up Blue Chip and see how much it is to upgrade the FMS to the Redline....
"The Redline is easy to install and connects to the same places, using the same harnesses as our best street useable product, the FMS ( Fuel Management System ) with the addition of two wires that go to the Throttle Position Sensor, AKA the APPS ( Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor ). In fact our FMS can be modified to become a Redline; call for pricing."

if you have 98 or 99 year truck they do not defuel 2000 up defuel and the only way to stop that i have use is a bd rad system that will alow you to build boost and luanch if you dont use this on 2000 up truck 2nd gen it will defuel in frist and second gear most noticable in auto truck trying to launch at the track will not build boost:kick:

Last I checked it was pretty pricey to get a FMS upgraded. You can find a used redline for $800-$1000. I would hold onto your FMS incase you don't like the redline, seems to be alot harder to come across used FMS than a used redline. Just my 2 cents
