It's a stock 05 cr piston. I would think there would be a lot better choices for a p-pumped 24v. Kinda outside of my area though.

i'm sure there are, but on my budget I can't afford custom Mahle or Arias pistons. I'm hoping to find a happy medium of a reasonbly priced OEM part that will work well in a p-pump 24v with 30* or more timing.

Take a stock piston, have the bowl opened up, flycut and coat if desired.
 
It ran $62.50 per piston. These pistons are coated with their gold coat on top and pc9 on the skirts. The gold coat is a ceramic coating, and the pc9 reduces friction and retains lubrication. The gold coat is about .002 thick, and the pc9 about .0015.

Had the same thing put on my stock 12v pistons. Swain does great work and great to deal with. Prices IMO aren't bad either.
