Just wonderin what everyones opinions are on leveling kits for my truck....looking mainly for- how much leveling lift?, Brands?, what kits?, and where should i get it from?........ pics are always nice too, thanks guys

lol well ur opinion is always welcome...... jw, but why trash? and what else then?

I think it's trash because guys go spend a couple hundred bucks for a "tough" lookin' truck that throws of front end geometry, moves the axle closer to the back of the fender, and then run the risk of having the Ford "granny ass" when they actually load it up or hook it to a trailer...

just not my style. The Dodge rake says "I'm ready to work"

a cheap leveling kit says (to me), "I'm ready to look tough while actually looking silly"

I think your truck looks great the way it is. I wouldn't mess around with anything. A well kept, unmodified truck is the way to go in my opinion.

.......i think that kinda answers my question then, would i be able to tuck a bigger tire when i am ready without rubbing?....iam lookin to get rims and tires over the summer, i am plannin on doin some ball joints here pretty soon, is there one brand of ball joints that is better than the other????? thanks for the replies guys

MOOG, unless u like to replace them quite frequently.
Brandon

Brandon, you should be able to get Moog joints online or at any decent auto parts store... NAPA, etc.

what size tires are you currently running?

right now i am just running stock 235/85r/16s but i plan on steppin that up a bunch once these wear down somemore lookin for a 33 or something equivalent to it

a 285/75/16 is a 33 and will clear just fine and look pretty mean, but you'll need a spacer between the rear duals.

you can run a 255/85/16 wich is narrower, but is still a 33 and will require no spacer.

put a 2in leveling kit on mine still has 1in higher in the rear of truck than front love the way it looks now. looked a little werid when i brought it with so much drop in the front

255/85 is roughly a 33" tire. only a load range d and dont' last too long. 19.5's are a 14 ply tire that you can get close to a 33" tire in. american force made some large hole 19.5's that look real good . imho.

my thought was to pull the spacer off the front and just run a normal 8 bolt rim (16") with the stock steelies on the inside.... figured that would cut down on cost and still give it a good look

where? only ones i found were toyo and they were $280 a tire ..iirc.?
