Retrofitting 05 CR intercooler into a 94

I got my boost leak tester fixed yesterday and i found a fairly large leak coming from the end tank of my inter cooler. I just so happen to have a 05 plastic inter cooler off my dads truck that he doesn't want. Has anyone tried to make it fit? Last time i looked at it there looks to be a lot of work to be done, radiator support is the biggest thing in the way.

So, cheap upgrade or just too much work for what its worth...?

CR plastic-tanked coolers have blown up at just 35 psi boost, and most let go around 55 psi.

Could you get a stinger to the cooler to have it tigged up?

I haven't cared to look until now. I've seen a few stock intercoolers around I just cant remember what they cost.

24v inter coolers are supposed to be a little more efficient
