Rocker Arm/Trunnion Wear

Looks like somebody is trying to reduce wear on their AR...or more likely decrease cleaning time?

I got the coating on the trunnions done now. Seems like a winner. Maybe in a few months we can get some data for wear and report back.

The first photo is pre coating and 2nd is after the coating was applied.

In that first pic.. Is that a bolt for a AR? Just curious.. Thanks Wesley

Never mind.. I see the guy above my post already answered me...

Looking good - can I pick up all the bits & pieces this week?

Maybe. We have been hit and miss all through the holidays. I might have everything ready by Friday.

Don,

any updates or new info on this process? I have a little wear (not bad) on my 160k mile rocker arms.

Mine looked just like that... Ran Rotella the first 95K and Rotella Synthetic the last 30K. I'll be using ZDDP every oil change now that the motor is rebuilt, hope it helps

When I was doin my injectors last time I pulled them apart and mine were starting to show wear like this also. Would be real interested in some updates also.

Joe

Score. Just picked up some '99 rocker arms. Hopefully they went out of service before the new CJ oil hit the market.

Spartan-processed tappets have been available from Formula One Diesel for a while now.

I've got a whole set in a truck that are shot.....To the point of locked up shot. I'll get some pics later.
