S400 questions

Depends on where your at? SW missouri a 700HP truck that has a decent setup will get you in the top spots every time.

I think scheid is right at 700HP at the flywheel, figure probably 600HP or so at the wheels. Should be a competitive setup if you have the truck setup well.

Its going to be more than that this year. But like stated a 600hp truck in the 2.6 class with be a strong runner!

Borg has some .8 housings, for the s400 83x74 wheel. I have yet been able to find one in stock. Do you have any Chris? PM me a cost?
I have had some guys say they can get a 0.8 to work, but they require some CNC work, and were quoting $350+ range on them.

Dan, We have a couple of those housings right now. There are a few other options as well but they get more custom beyond this point and the $$$ goes right along with them.

I said Soutwest MO, LOL We don't have the tracks that will handle the HP, like other places. Tracks look great, but usually are very dry.
I am hoping to break 400HP in 09, and I would say the worst I have placed in 08 was at platte city. All the rest were 4th or higher.

You sound like Timbeaux at a drag race. "This truck I am told makes upwards of 400 HP"

Me and Dan have talked many of times on the phone about our set-ups I think he will be in the low 400's with his 97' motor :poke:. PS keep the home fires burnin cause I plan to give ya a call tonight Dan.

Even with a Ex. W/G can too small of a housing hurt u? I understand that DP will not be an issue but I am just curious if their are any drawbacks......

Too small of a wastegate will not let you make peak power, but what if it lets you get the next gear?? :)

Wondering what is smallest A/R you can get for a ex. housing on a S400?
Also on a small body 400 are they using the 300 center section?
What would be the best S400 combo for a tight converter VP truck that see's some daily driving and pulling?
Thanks, Keith

I think you need to put a s200 (or somthing smaller!) on your truck so old gray will have a chance! :ft: :hehe: :hehe:
