S400

FYI, I happen to have a T6 divided housing laying here and it has holes 4 7/16" apart in one direction and 2 3/4" apart in the other direction (rough numbers). Hope this helps ya identify it...

Kind of a bad pic but you get an idea of the bolt spacing

Housing was on the turbo when I bought it. Im not sure where it came from.

Which housing are you referring to? The compressor housing looks like a polished regular housing.

its a normal s400 with a polished compressor housing and the ported exhaust housing. I figured it would be a good bottom turbo for a twin set, but Im gonna go with a single now for sled pulling. I would keep this for a single but the exhaust housing is just to large. Turbo has not been ran since it was freshened up.

Race cover is a slip fit boot, guys are reporting 50-100 HP gains with them. The a/r is different for the compressor housing.

Well that's what my 65mm is and I can't keep the dang boot on it. I need to weld tabs on it and the tube for straps.

Yea I can't figure out why they use the slipfit for the race applications.

The race housing is a larger A/R compressor housing, it has a hose discharge on it versus the v-band flange.

I saw a S472 with a "Race Cover", it was painted green and had a lot of John Deere castings on it and was a pull-off from a big tractor...

I had my compressor boot blow off on me when I took my turbo for a test drive, scared the living heck out of me! After I tightened it down all the way I haven't had any problems again at 47psi...

Where in Illinois are you located? What was the turbo on before you bought it?
