BigJoe, that's a clean setup.

I would definitely go with 5" on the intake. It's plenty big, and they make some good 5" inlet filters.
 
I just put a S400 on mine today and built a intake. I'm using a 6" filter reduced down to a 5" pipe. The 6" filter flows the most so you have no restrictions. I have my new ATS T4 manifold in stock location. I can't post pictures with my phone, but I fans one via email or text if you want. My air filter is in stock location.
 
If I had it to do over, I might leave the battery in stock location and make a pipe like that. It looks good. I like pulling the headlight and having a little ram air at the track

So brother just got a 467.7/83/.9, t4 pdi manifold, and 110lb valve springs for his 01. Current setup is auto, 4.10 gears, 35s, cds 6x.013s, drag comp. He also smoked his auto this week so getting that rebuilt now. What kind of stall converter should he get? 2200-2400rpm stall?

Hoping to get it to lite on a stock cam and head. Can it be done?

2200 stall I think is what my brother ran. It will spool like a boss, don't worry! Get rid of the edge and do a Smarty/TST/TS mvp stack.
 
What were the specs of your 63 mike?

74/.7. Spooled faster than a well tuned/fueled hx35, broke the 37's loose when it came on off idle. Of course the .7 housing helped, but I assumed a .91 would do about as well.

It was also a stock pump with 5x.016's and a 181, stock manifold.

I thought you were gonna same 63/68 or is that the same as 74??


Is the consensus this fmw would be a good secondary? Im ready to ditch my 62/71/13ss. And either go smaller or with a 67 fmw.

any opinions appreicated.

It was a 63/74/.7.

I have a 67/83/.9 now. I love it, but I'm thinking of dropping back to a 63 for towing, and adding a 78 down the road.
