Scheid front cover with Cam support bearing?

Does anyone have any pictures of this? I have not seen how it supports the nose of the cam? If anyone has any information I would be interested.

I have seen a few different cover styles and its hard to know who actually makes them most have nothing on them. There was a thread started a couple months back about this that had some good info in it, if that helps you out Adam.

The item Adam speaks of does support the cam.

The cam gear retainer takes care of the gear walking off problem.

Here is a bad picture of the gear retainer which is held on with a bolt that threads into the cam snout.

The link below is a picture from the outside of the front cover I have one on my truck it seems to do the job. The cover is thick and a needle bearing sets in it and the end of the cam sets in the bearing if you have the longer cam retainer that is bolted to the end of the cam

That one don't the one that I am making for my mod will.that one was a guicky so we could get the motor buttoned back up.
