Scheid front cover with Cam support bearing?

The new one, is your plan to support the actual end of the cam or just limit cam walk by putting a bearing for it to ride against?

the scheid cover has an extended retainer that is bolted to the end of the cam, and also drilled and roll pinned to the cam, the longer retainer rides inside of a bearing in the cover, it has a small inspection plate there too.

So the scheids cover supports side loads, does it support thrust loads as well, or do they rely on the stock retainer?

To saport the end and limit the travel.the one for my mod motor for next year I will be using the original cam gear as a idler to drive the twin over head cams.I have the diesighn done waiting for the material to come in for the mockup for head it is called butterboard alot cheaper than a block of alum.going to try to get the bearing set up for the front cover in a couple of week after Iget my arm out of this sling.
