Well Matt Williams and Troy Wakeman had their matchup at Scheids this weekend. Williams pulled out the win. Talked to Troy and gang later in the day and they said after having to rehook the truck a couple times did a number on the truck.(blew the windshield out of the sled) But anyhow they said unlike Platte City, Williams and crew were very nice and apologized how things went down in Platte City. Congrats to both. Ill be looking forward to your next showdown at the AirDog Invitational in Indianapolis. :rockwoot:

yeah I talked to toys guys for a while and theyre good people.

things got out of hand in platte city (which I was not a part of) but apologies were made and we left it on the track.

it was a hard earned win thats for sure, troy didnt make it easy. he beat us in qualifying, and we had to make some changes for the finals to squeak by him.

he is without a doubt the strongest dmax weve ran against, and those guys have done a excelent job on the truck. look forward to pulling with them again.

Good job Matt! And I'd say that the price went up a lil bit on Ragged Out!

600hp??? Um a 2.6 with 600hp isn't even gonna finish in the top 20 at scheids unless they have a awesome set up. Top 2.6 trucks are probably pushing 750-850hp. 2.8 trucks I don't know i would venture to say anywhere between 700-950hp.

ya Id say the good 2.8 trucks are making 900 I know the shop I used to work at did the machine work for Smoots truck and I didnt realize how much they were doing to the 2.8 class anymore its not just bolting a charger and putting some sticks in it they are doing everything to get every last inch out of them.
O ya and Troys truck is the best running and meanest sounding Dmax Ive ever seen

How many hooks did Troy Wakeman make at schieds? did he run in the 2.8 and 3.0 classes? I hope he brings it up to indy I have always wanted to see that truck in person.

As far as I know Troy will be coming to Indy. We had some problems with the exhaust that caused to turbo to delay lighting in the finals. Congrats to Matt tho on the win. Hope we get to meet up with you guys again.

Troy will be at Indy. He had to hook 3 times since they had the issue with blowing the windshield out of the sled. From what I heard the sled driver hit the deck and Troy continued on with the sled un attended.

Why is it that when you talk to tractor pullers that are running in a 466 engine and a 3X3 charger limit, they are all in the neighborhood of 900 crank HP. But 2.8 trucks make the same HP, and they all have alot more time and money in those tractors.

becasue they are runnig a true 3 inch inducer and a small 3inch turbine.

our 2.8 truck runs a inducer bigger than 3.0 just bushed down and our turbine is much bigger than 3.0 and its not restricted at all. and we also have a lot of development time in our motors.

we are way over 900

My dyno sheet that got me 12th in 2.8, with more rpms I think I could have gotten better though....

I've seen the dyno numbers from a certain truck in KY that runs in 2.8. And it was well over 900. He has good taste in pumps I here also.:hehe:

Congrats, to everyone we had a great time, Yes, we hurt her a little in the rehook and couldnt really light the charger down low like we needed to but thats sled pullin.... We will be tryin for indy for sure.. se everyone there:clap:
