Tyler, you’ll be fine. I start in 2nd and it’s held just fine. My transmission builder said it was fine also. I’ve found it actually helps the truck not pull through the brakes as easily while getting the turbo up to boost as well.

People do it, but it is harder on the transmission.
If you start in second, when are you all locking the converter?
I thought 2nd gear starts is what takes out the sprag clutch, causing major damage.
Any vids of manual 2nd gear take offs?this is all 1st gear rollouts do to not having fmvb yet and large t6 turbin. Hoping it will stall more leaving in 2nd this year.p
