seems like its losing prime

my truck for the longest time would start as soon as you turn the key. now its seems more more sluggish at starting. i have to wait for the ( wait to start ) light to come on.sometimes even have to cycle the key first. any suggestions ideas or advice on fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance

Does it get fuel pressure? If its loosing prime id check connector tube orings first those seem to be common.
Do you have to crank on it or just wait for the grid heater light to cycle?

Could be the ECM going south.

Delayed WTS light usually means a dying ECM. Check for codes.
