When #6 is at crossover EX. closing IN. opening.
When at TDC for #1, check: Intake 1, 2, and 4 Exhaust 1, 3, and 5.

what i do is either get a buddy of yours or get a push button starter that you can hook to the battery and the solenoid wire on the starter to turn it over (bump it)

bump it over untill you see #1 intake, just as it closes completely.... adjust valves on #1. THen bump it untill you see the intake on #2 right after it closes and then adjust that cylinder and then just proceed with the rest of them.

P.S. after every intake on each cylinder closes.. bump it one more time just a **** hair to make sure. Then adjust.

done it this way from day one..... has worked ever since.

either way.... it doing it this way.. it HAS to be on the compression/power stroke for that particular cylinder.
