Ok any help y'all can give me is much appreciated,
When I take off going straight or make a left turn and I jump on the throttle the trans will hold 2nd gear and wont shift until I let off peddle.
But if I make a right turn and jump on it its shifts fine .
If I take off semi quick and roll into the throttle its fine .
I changed the gov pressure and transducer.still doing same thing.
even with program off.
Its been at 2 diesel shops and on 2 diffrent scan tools and no one can figure it out.
some one said its the VB and some on said its the TVVA,
Any Ideas??
Thanks Steve.

When mine did this it was because it was low on fluid, the fluid moves away from the pickup when you turn left.

I checked it and it was in the full area and I just did all new fluid when I changed the Gov sil.

Idk if it has anything to do with this but have you tried to adjust the band?

No I have 127k on her and never had any bands adjusted .
I drop the pan every 30k and change filter with a wix filter and syn fluid my self.
This all started 2 years back whyle pulling a 16klb heavy 5th wheel up a hill from a dead stop.
Now that I think of it.

Thanks for that link.
That won't burn tranny up sonner I an getting ready for a long trip in a month?

Im no trans expert but i believe its considered regular maintenance, i've adjusted mine a few times without any problems.

The band's call for adjustments every time you drain and filter change. 30k. I. agree with the possibility of low fluid causing your issue. Sticks get hard to read once you pull them out 3 or 4 times. Check both sides of the stick to make sure of no false readings. I have seen it show full on one side and the other side would be dry.

It sounds like those "Diesel" shops are like other run of the mill parts swaps joints with a scan tool. Band adjustment is very important.

Well I checked fluid cold with truck in park
And fluid was over filled.
Then put it in N and started motor and
It was in in the full section on both sides of the
Stick.
Going to try to adjust the front band today.

Can I get away with only doing frount band?
I mean once it's locked up it pulls like a
Fright train no slipping at all and it only hangs up in 2 nd gear.

Holey crap what a diffrence!!!
Thank's for all the help.
It was the band all this time.
Thanks again.
Steve ..
