Just got a new Mig welder and they shipped a bottle of 75%Argon/25% Co2 didn't think they could but it was an option on line to be filled or enpty, guess that gas is Ok???

Almost all hazmat can be shipped even via airlines/cargo as long as it is declared and shipped in accordance with regulations. There are separation requirements within cargo compartments as well as proper packing, handling, and shipping requirements.

Pretty much the only items withheld from our passenger flights is poison gasses. Also ground shippments need to go through the same process but may have different rules. Bottom line is ALL HAZARDOUS MATERIALS must be declared! This is not only a legal requirement but also an ethical requirement due to the hazards associated with shipments and potential loss of life.

It saddens me to know that most people don't care. As long as "they" are safe.....they do not care what happens to others. It makes it VERY difficult for the rest of us.

The baggage compartment in the airplane is pressurized, thats how we keep grandmas dog alive. Definetly empty the bottle, I might be the guy flying it.
