silver 62 or sps 62

Not sure of the specs on the bd spc. but I think it's a 64.......of course it really depends on the exhst. side of thinks.....

Might not be a bad option..

If you really only looking for 550 +/- hp and want pretty good spool, I'd say the 62/71/14 or a 13ss what do just fine also....I just thought the Silver would give you a bit of room to grow..

yeah that was what I was thinking to might just going ahead a get the bd special 64/71/14 that will give alittle room to grow. Hard freaking decision just don't want to end up buying a couple of turbos, when i could have bought just one. This stuff is freaking addicting.

bd special is a 64/71/14

i hate dealing with BD, there turbo's are decent, but they will try everything they can to get out of warranty, and half the guys that work @ the one in vancouver are c^nts

65mm and 71mm are 11 blade high drive wheel
68mm and 74mm are 10 blade high flow wheel

63/68/.8 A/R for the win

You have the 71mm and 74mm backwards.

71mm- low drive pressure
74mm- high drive pressure

To the OP if I was going with a 62mm Id go with the 68mm wheel.

But the BD special is a nice turbo.

The automatic trucks don't like large turbos. I just had a guy return a Silver 62 because it was too slow spooling on his auto truck. He had 125hp DDP injectors, Quad Adrenaline. Just trying to help with your decision.

i was running a 62/65/12 and it spooled not too too bad, auto trucks can launch if needed LOL...

i will be getting a 63/68 soon.... the $750 borg ones come with a .88 a/r T4 flanged housing... i'm trying to find a .8ish sized wastegated housing to slip on the ass end of it, got a line on an HX60, buddys can weld,

junkyard twins and piped for like $1800

i still can't figure out how these twins kits cost $5000.... are they gold plated or what ?>

So I was correct about the 74 being lower Drive Pres.??

I agree on the mid road 68 prob. being best...

not according to iis...

^^^^^^^ industrial is a rip off.... look @ their pumps and injectors recently....

The 65mm is 11-blade, and the 68-71-73mm are all 10-blade. The 71mm will produce the lowest drive pressure ratio out of the turbine wheels listed. The 73mm is laggy because it has a cast clip. The 65-71mm share the same blade contour, as does the 68-73mm, all of these things effect the way a turbocharger performs.

Turbochargers are as bad as injectors and camshafts when it comes to hype and misleading information.
