Sled Operator?

Um your little roller is not gonna pack the track that hard... if you had rolled it every time it would helped the sandbox effect in the middle.

Bottom line there was not enough clay in that track to pack it right... a gravel driveway isn't a pulling track. Look at the AA county fairgrounds track, Tuckahoe, the Buck, Geno's field, Dragon Motorsports, ect.

But all the chipped 6.0's with big tires did well... I think somebody mentioned it being good for low hp trucks LOL

Edit: And that is the last I have to say about that pull, on the the future! Test and tune this weekend, I should have the Blue Ox figured out by the 21st

Not really its just that with the sandy track nothing is gonna pack it right once its been ripped up. The ground should be a little spongy. That track is fine for the antique tractors, but thats about all it is good for. Theres just not enough clay in that soil to make a good pulling track.

well everyone pulled on the same track so there should be no excuses. and i almost forgot i was just a walmart and they have tissues on sale buy one get one free.

That's true, everyone pulled on the same track. It WAS a fair pull. I don't dispute that.

All a lot of guys are saying is that the track (especially with that sled) wasn't able to hold much hp. Weight and big tires won, period. Hp wasn't a factor...

Don't take it personal. It's not your track.

mikehalseyjr and i are supposed to be setting up a pull during the county fair and it's going to be on that same track. I'm gonna try to get some experienced pullers opinions on anything that can be done to make the track better. Maybe it is what it is and nothing more can be done. I don't know.

Chris

well i think if you work it up it should take away the sandbox effect bc they told us they put clay down 5-6 years ago. I beleive we are going to try and have another in september so if you and mike ask them if we can work it up. We are willing to help you guys

run a v-ripper through it get that clay bed to the top... I shouldn't have to tell you east side boys how to work the dirt LOL

All's we need is a couple farmers and a experienced sled puller, i dont know about an experienced puller but we got plenty of farmers around
