Smaller a/c condenser???

I'm planning on upgrading the inner cooler on my built 2006, well I'm at it the a/c condenser is beat to heck and blocking air flow, so needs to be replaced. I have an idea of taking a smaller one (looking threw parts catalogs at work) and making custom mounts and lines. Heck the hemi trucks are half the size so maybe something similar to those. The goal is to open up more airflow and save the a/c.

Anyone ever done something like this?

The semi trucks are also typically pulling a lot more air through their condenser, so it doesn't need to be as big. That said I don't see any reason it wouldn't work, just wouldn't work as well. You might not notice a difference since yours isn't flowing well though.
