smoke switch on 01

At $5.00 a gallon for diesel, it seems like doing this would be as bad as putting on NO2. About a $1 per second. Seems silly to me.
 
Well it won't work on my 99'. I tried all 3 ways and no dice:bangAll it does on mine is put it in limp mode, same as unplugging the sensor. Oh well I guess I can just wire it up anyway and have a valet switch!:rockwoot:
 
i have only seen ths work with and edge come or juice. works with my comp. but not with my EZ? and to do this i tap the pink and the black, then run them both to the on terminal of the switch???
 
I have one, it works, you need some kind of fueling box like a comp or juice, junno bout the ez.
 
I agree with ya forest, I can blow little cloud if i want but the puff of smoke just aint as cool as it was a year ago. A kid in one of my classes that I am teaching just put a smarty on his 06 an he is blacking out the streets all day long. He did it five times in one mile and even eclipsed a car. That is the kind of stuff that ruins the diesel aftermarket's reputation.
 
everyone is so green now.... if you dont want your truck to smoke them dont make it smoke. IMO black smoke is always going to be somewhat of a signal and trophy to diesel guys. some like it some dont.i happen to dig it. helps with tailgaters
 
black smoke is a trophy to people who have slow trucks and think that smoke = power...

all my trucks smoke, but I don't get off on rolling it out... I try to smoke as little as possible while driving around because it looks trashy

Same here. I usually only hammer on it when I know it'll clean up quick. I feel like a boner when I look in the mirror and there is cars driving AROUND a dissapearing ninja.
 
it was a fun novelty 10yrs ago when nobody knew how to tune a diesel, but now that we've figured out that you can actually go quicker with less smoke, it just seems silly... it's like the little Honda boys with 4ft high spoilers on the back of their FWD cars... yeah, the SuperBird was a cool car, but that doesn't mean your car is cool because you're running the same spoiler! LOL!

hey everyone has their own personal preferances. u dont like smoke. some do. my truck will clean the little i have pretty quick. so im not worried about it. and if it pisses people off behind me, im not to worried about it, because in two seconds they are gonna be past the cloud.
 
^^^ and driving right into a pole or some one on the side of the road that they cant see because someone was trying to be a harda$$.
 
I've blacked out 3 lanes in a neighborhood so bad that people stopped and creeped through with their automatic headlights on... they couldn't see anything. that's flat out dangerous, and I'll be the first to admit it :o
 
then sstop blacking out pople. watch where you do it. see mines not think enought to do that... yet.
 
Sigma pump and custom injectors with stock turbo...

There's a smoke switch....
