Alrighty guys i did my first to performance mods and now im hooked, but im not sure what to do next. Im about to put 5 inch exhaust with a 5 inch stack on, and i already have a BHAF. I hear some smaller injectors really rip with the diablo power puck. Could i stack a smarty on with my power puck? Im not sure what route i wanna go either with a programmer or injectors. Maybe some 70hp injectors or something like that, i dunnno help me out guys.

Anyways... yeah you could stack a smarty, is your tranny an auto?

If so it's gonna be hurtin with anything more than what you got, if not you will have to start lookin for a clutch!
 
Support the power before you add it.

Do a search of this forum for injectors, you should be able to find all the info you could desire.

Haha i meant like a 50 or 70hp injectors not 150s or something. Yes i have an auto i should put a tc and valve body on before the smarty.......
 
Alrighty i read it, i figured i could get away with some 70hp injectors i guess not. Well i guess im going to go with a vb instead of a go fast.
 
Yup. You need to address the transmission first.

A decent valve body and torque convertor will do wonders. If you have the cash, get a full meal-deal transmission.

Once you have the foundation, you can start to build the house. Don't get carried away with injectors on a factory turbo.. those things come with time. Deal with known PROBLEMS first, then you can start to upgrade things for more power..

I understand thats why i got gauges, lift pump then a powerpuck just had to get a little more juice haha. Can anyone tell me the stock psi on boost cause i only push about 20 psi.....
 
You are at the limit of the stock wastegate now, around 20. A boost elbow will get you some more air and ooommphh.......



and less life on the tranny.

Ah gotcha is that what the bully dog J-hook does keep the wastegate open longer? I think i read somewhere that a stock turbo pushes 35psi so i was a little worried when i looked at my gauge.
 
You can wire it open, but the tranny is not gonna be haaaappppyyyyy....
 
I wouldn't stack the puck with a smarty, just sell the puck and get a Comp or ADR. Guarentee either one will make more power than that stack, plus it will cost less.
 
The smarty is great especialy when added with A fueling box but the puck adds timming and would not be very good with the smarty. Like others here have said though, You need at least A decent torque converter and valve body before You add anymore power. Once You have taken care pf that A smarty (smarty without the puck would make more difference than You can imagine) would be A wise next move, then You will really need to upgrade the turbo before You could take full advantage of anything more.

I thought the smarty only adds about 65hp? So wont it be like the puck that i have already? Yes im going to put a valve body on it soon after i get my stack on, i will be buying a goerend valvebody.

get a convertor with that valve body!! suncoast would be my choice.
