Converter and valve body will be good for 400hp, if you plan to do many boosted launches you'll need billet input and flexplate.
Ya for sure. Now what do i need to do with the engine to get 400hp?The flex plate goes between the T/C and the trans. The first mod that I did was to put in a v/b. It held up well then I got my converter, they held up great with my mods. I finally bit the bullet and had it all done. Like they all said if your going to go big, then get the trans done.
Ok so let me ask yall this, what is a good setup for 400hp? Tranny and everything what do i need to get 400hp and safely hotrod it?
Im not sure what your saying hear. I need a Heavy duty rebuild on the tranny? What does that consist of? I was told i need a valve body, tc, billet flex plate and billet input to handle 400 hp easy.a HD rebuild on the tranny billet flex plate torque converter will hold 400hp.
400 hp can be had with small injectors 100hp nozzles and a adrenline box and a hx 35/40 hybrid or a s300 turbo. normal addons air intake exhaust.
An hx40 what is that off of?400ish HP is pretty easy to acheve. My set up is a little more then that (450ish) It has 100HP JL machine injectors, .93 cross over tubes, adr. with the pulse, hx40 with a 14 cm exh. housing and wast gate blocked, home made intake horn, 4" strait pipe, DTT converter and VB, II vp44 pump, fass with draw straw, tubular header/ or fully ported manifold (i switch back and forth). This set up is great for street driving and playing around and also Great for pulling trailer!

as long as your tranny is in good working order that has had good mantiance performed just the tc flex plate and valvebody will do. but remember that you are putting alot of stress onto the stock clutch/steel packs that may or may not hold up for long. that is the main part of a good rebuild is to replace the clutches and steels with higher quality and more quanity to hold the higher fluid pressure put on them from the convertor and valverbody. but if your diving in to do the input shaft go ahead and rebuild the rest.
